November Meeting Highlights

Hard to believe Christmas is upon us - but it is.  As such, it was decided that there would be no December monthly meeting - and we would pick up in January 2012.

Of course, I will be in Pittsburg by then until after the April meeting - but several folks have stepped up to the plate to lead the Jan - Feb - Mar - Apr meetings.  I will get updates and post to this blog - it is this or e-mail or weekly meetings somewhere to keep us in contact with each other.

The two main camp goals were discussed again: Increase membership and get church contacts/speaking dates.  Paul Davis rightly pointed out that our monthly meetings have been too much like business meetings than something we would want to impress our contacts with.  Therefore, the format of the montly meeting will center on prayer, testimonials, training, some news and close with prayer.  We can get the 'business' done another time.  Thank you Paul for reminding us.

Saturday will be a mini-distribution to the 'Occupy Columbia' folks if they are still there.  The day after we decided to do this - about 20 of them go arrested, so they may have given up and gone home, but we can still take a trip there and see.  Also, Saturday morning I will attend the first planning session for 'Columbia Blitz' to occur next year.  Details when I get them.

Talk to your prospects.  Sign them as dues payers if they say they are too busy.  We need bench strength.

Enough for this post.  More later.  Glenn

Check Out Our Blog!

Calling all members of the Gideon Columbia South Camp!  We have entered the 21st century!!  At the last meeting I promised to create a blog for us - here it is.  Right now very simple - because it is a monumental feat for me to even have managed to get this far with a computer.

Help make it better by adding things and posting.  Tell prospects to check it out.

We will use this blog as a substitute means for a weekly meeting - at least for the time being.  It is another way to keep in touch.  When you visit - please leave a short 'I was here' statement so I know who stopped by.
